Once again, we have written and produced new audio tracks for company Fluxguide and the Castle Country of Saxony. One of these audio tours tells the story of the life of the Cistercian monks at Buch Monastery. In it, the fictional characters "Melina" and "Theo" accompany visitors on their tour through the historic buildings and rooms of the former monastery complex. They tell how the monks moved into the newly built monastery in 1192, how the complex steadily expanded over time, and what there is to discover today. For example, bat niches, the former dormitory with the monks' murals, the Protestant confessional, and the chute of the former toilet. A truly unusual feature was that the monks at Buch Monastery already had flush toilets in the Middle Ages! That wasn't very common back then.
