Hygiene instructions

for safe handling

Audio- / Mediaguides and hygiene?

Is that safe? What do I have to consider when disinfecting the devices? What hygiene products are available? How can I make the device distribution as safe as possible?

We have put together some tipps and suggestions for you!

Preparation

  • Switch off the device.

Cleaning

  • Remove dirt and grease residues from the device using a cleaning agent (glass cleaner, vinegar cleaner or similar).

  • Moisten a paper towel with the cleaning agent.

  • Wipe the display and other device surfaces with the cloth.

  • If necessary, absorb any residual liquid with a dry cloth.

Desinfection

  • Moisten a paper towel with a suitable surface disinfectant.

  • Wipe the display and other housing surfaces with the cloth.

  • Do not exert excessive pressure, especially when cleaning the display.

  • Allow the disinfectant to take effect for at least 30 seconds or to dry by itself. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for the disinfectant.

Storage

  • Keep disinfected devices either in the charging station or in an distribution box.

Surface disinfectants

  • e.g. alcohol-free with the active ingredient benzalkonium chloride or containing alcohol (70%+)

  • These disinfectants can be used on all hard and soft surfaces and not only kill bacteria but are also effective against viruses such as the corona virus, if used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

Cleaning cloths

  • Paper towels are very suitable for cleaning, especially as they are disposed of after use and are therefore only used once.

  • In general, only absorbent disposable materials should be used.

Hand disinfectants

  • Hand disinfectants with an alcohol content of 60% and more are effective against viruses. Such hand disinfectants are also effective against a wide range of bacteria. Care additives protect the skin.

Disposable headphones / hygiene covers

Disposable headphones

  • We can offer single packed disposable in-ear headphones. The earphones are for personal use and remain with the visitor.

Hygiene covers

  • If you offer audio guides with headphones, we can provide hygienic disposable fleece covers that can be disposed of after use.

Carrying straps

  • All fabric straps supplied by soundgarden are washable. We recommend changing the straps regularly and washing them at 60 degrees.

  • Alternatively, we also offer straps made of silicone, which can be wiped off and disinfected using a surface disinfectant due to their smooth surface.

  • Ideally, you should separate the distribution and return areas; e.g. the left and right side of the counter.
  • Use specially marked boxes, for example, device distribution and device return. Also label the output box with the note "Devices disinfected".
  • We recommend that the visitor takes the audio/media guide from the output box himself. If necessary, the staff can assist the visitor in choosing a language or using it by showing it on a separate device.
  • Similarly, the visitor simply places the audio guide in the box provided at the end of the visit.
  • If you are handing out headphones together with the audio/media guide, proceed as described above.
